Groups are very important in life. Let’s consider some examples: a) The group of emails that you trash and the group of emails that you reply to. b) The group of people that you can’t wait to meet and the group of people that you always avoid. c) The group of tasks that you should do right now and the group of tasks that you will do later. d) The group of socks that you wear in winter and the group of socks that you wear in summer.
What would happen if you mixed these groups? Think about it. a) You would reply to the relative you’ve never known about who’s suddenly giving you a huge amount of money. b) You’d end up avoiding everybody. c) You’d do everything right now and leave nothing for tomorrow. d) You’d catch a bad cold or a foot mycosis. You wouldn’t want any of these to happen, would you? See, groups are very important.
And, believe it or not, this post does have something to do with forms. Because we’ve just released a new feature: form grouping.
Long story short, you can now create groups of forms in your My Forms section. What for? For managing them a lot more quickly. With form grouping, you can change the notification email or apply a custom theme to all the forms in a group at once.
The main use cases that we had in mind while designing this feature are the following:
1. When working for clients, each of them will have their own group of forms. The form grouping feature goes hand in hand with our users feature.
2. When working for your own website, you can keep and manage order forms and surveys separately. Send orders to one email, surveys to another and apply the shopping cart logo only to the former.
3. When you’re not good at organizing stuff, you can play with this new feature and gain confidence. Group forms, ungroup them, group them back, you know. Just log in to your account and get to work. Also, make sure you are prepared for this exercise and read our documentation first.
